JHCC ~ Precious Cargo for Kids

Kids had fun in the mountains while learning about becoming more peaceful, happy, and connected in a compatible way with other human beings of different values and interests. This unusual camp was held at the Idaho State University 4-H Base Camp in the Grand Teton Mountains. Kids aged 5-15 enrolled with an adult “parent-figure”.
Activities included informational parenting classes by Center for Dispute Solutions, Inc. (telephone: 866-726-3700); AquaMers, a self-esteem program, using magical interaction with faeries, mermaids, sinister forces, and the power of making good decisions; general arts & crafts; hiking on mountain trails; yoga-like stretches for kids; as well as, prayer and meditation based on ancient techniques used by indigenous people.
